On the eve of Independence Day, Denver's new hot spot, Armoury, played host to the opening of The Greg Garrison Trio +1 Residency! The first show of the run welcomed Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain String Band) for an evening of covers that included mainly the music of The Beatles! The room filled in quickly prior to the show and by the time the trio hit the stage, the venue was packed. Fireworks illuminated the sky above Coors field and as the energy built the Trio went through some impressive compositions and covers that included a fantastic "No Quarter." As more and more people turned out, the temperature inside of the intimate room reached a boiling point with the band taking a short break.

The Trio's return to the stage also welcomed Jeff Austin for a set full of Beatles interpretations. Jeff smiled and made his typical faces as the chemistry flowed between Greg (Bass), Dave Devine (Guitar) and Marc Dalio (Drums). The crowd sang along as drinks were poured by the attentive bar staff that included a couple of the owners pinch hitting for one of the best crowds Armoury had seen! Following two sets of music, the Trio +1 concluded the first night of their residency. Fans lingered to have a moment with the musicians and folks stuck around to continue the party. That Wednesday was one for the books. We recommend that you not miss the second night of the Residency this Wednesday July 10th, as Greg welcomes special guests Andy Hall and Chris Pandolfi of The Infamous Stringdusters for an evening of Allman Brothers music!
