A Review: Del McCoury Band (Savannah, GA)

While on vacation in Savannah,GA we saw a brochure for the Savannah Music Festival. Fortunately for us, it was the last day of the festival. We saw that Del was playing at the Lucas Theater, which is an old very ornate and fantastic theater. We decided to go to see them since our kids are such huge fans.We got there and bought tickets on the spot (Row L). We were surprised to see the average age of the people attending was about 55! Curtis Blackwell was the warm up act and were very good. The crowd loved them. After a short intermission, Del came on. They played for about a hour and a half. They are a very upbeat, talented bunch of guys. They took requests from the crowd and did an acapella gospel song (all but the banjo player). It was great! After the show, we met and took a picture with the band in honor of our boys! Del was a very humble guy!
